I was challenged to take a picture of my desk without fixing anything. And post it to my blog. The mess of paper just shows I have been working, right? I have been playing with the Silhouette and just got my latest package from MFT in the mail, even with a postal strike it came! Woohoo! I ordered 3 Die-namics sets: Jumbo Scallop Die, Butterflies and my favorite...High Tea Doily! They are fabulous and the results are spectacular using different papers, from cardstock to DP to newsprint.

I'm going to really like using these Die-namics!

Had fun mass producing this card for the Grads for church and my niece & nephew. Hubby and I went out on our first camping trip of the year last weekend and I brought along my card making supplies and went at it while he worked his course. It's amazing how much I accomplished with a few hours of "free" time on  a Saturday evening.

I love, love, LOVE our grandsons!

It was Jacob's 2nd Birthday last week and I made him this card using the Cars Addition paper pack from Creative Memories. And the Tim Holtz brads that look like tiny screw heads.

 I followed the Mojo Monday Sketch from August 10, 2009, designed by Julee Tilman. It was great fun making the "Gift card" for the pocket.

This is what I wrote on the back using Gelly Roll medium pen in white by Sakura.

Sticky business

Here is my pincushion & pin my friend, Nora made. She made one for each gal of our weekly scrapbooking/cardmaking/crafting group. This begins the latest of my interests....

 

Three of us went shopping in the Consignment store next door of our favorite Scrapbooking store (you know who you are) and pretty near cleaned them out of the costume jewelery.

 

I gathered my stash and started taking apart the oodles of necklaces, bracelets and earrings and began CREATING.

And this is the whole Collection thus far.

Put on a Happy Face?!

 

The sun has finally come out and I am more alive because of it. Don't you feel like a lazy cat in a windowsill when that good ol' sun warms you to the core? I do and life is better for it. Gotta love this Alberta sunshine.

About this scrumptious slice of Amish Cinnamon Loaf you may ask...I saw it smiling back at me and had to share it with you. Just looking for the smiles in this world is powerful. Try it for a while to see for yourself. Even smiling at complete strangers is a fun activity too. Just don't give the "creepy smile". People don't appreciate that. ;)
